CHILL OUT WITH THE GURUS Presenter Liz Heggart Grades 2-4
More and more students - and increasingly younger students are being diagnosed with stress and anxiety related disorders. In the fast paced modern world it is essential that young people discover the skills needed to cope with stress and anxiety, and this is the workshop to do just that! 'Chill Out with the Gurus' will examine a variety of different ways that young people can proactively deal with stress and anxiety, including creative and musical endeavors. In doing so, this workshop will allow young people to develop their emotional intelligence or 'EQ.' In addition to this; we will also look at case studies of Ghandi and Nelson Mandela to see how they dealt with the stresses in their lives.
All ticket prices are inclusive of GST.
Registration starts at 9.15am and the courses finish at 3pm each day.
Bring: Drink bottle, morning tea and lunch
Wear: Play clothes as some workshops can be messy
Sun hat for outdoor play
